There are THREE simple new Print Checklist for you! A quick reminder makes sense for beginners and experienced Inklingo quilters.

For every quilting project, Inklingo quilters spend very little time printing compared to the time they spend sewing. A few minutes of printing can set up hours and hours of sewing fun, spread out over several days and weeks, so it can be a long time between printing sessions.

In a Yahoo Group for Quilt Teachers, there is an interesting discussion going on about fabric requirements on quilt patterns.

Some designers add 10%, or add enough for one mis-cut strip, or round up to the next quarter yard. Some designers don’t add anything. There is no industry standard.

I would like to know what you think—as a quilter, a designer, or a teacher.

We have some great tips for printing on fabric. The method I use saves time and effort. It allows me to prepare many, many sheets at a time, and print stacks of fabric without jams. Interested?

Most quilters see the benefits of Inklingo when they see shapes printed on fabric. They understand that part already. It’s a dream come true to have lines to cut on and lines to sew on. I’ll write more about that in the future.

However, several of you think that quilters are afraid to put fabric in their printers for Inklingo, so I am addressing that first.
