Cathi of Quilt Obsession told me about a quilter in Holland who started a Clamshell Club on her blog, Cybele’s Patch. Quilters are making Clamshell quilts with different methods, and reporting their progress at the end of every month.

Thanks to Kaffe Fassett’s Museum Quilts (2005) and the wonderful new book from the V&A, two very dear Inklingo friends recently requested Clamshells. Luckily, I had done quite a bit of work on a Clamshell shape collection more than a year ago, so I was able to make it happen.

There is nothing better than sharing a quilting passion with freinds. Cathi of Quilt Obsession and and Karendianne of Living Life at LeeHaven both have blogs and it has led to an online friendship.

Karendianne heard about Inklingo from Cathi, and now they are both sewing Alabama Beauties with the Inklingo Orange Peel Deluxe shape collection.

Yesterday on Creative Talk Radio with Pat Sloan, I mentioned Alabama Beauty. It is one of the uncommon, beautiful blocks that can be made with the Inklingo Deluxe Orange Peel shape collection.

There have already been “complaints” about the new Dresden Plate collections—too much choice, not accurately named, irresistible, causes heart to race, etc. LOL These Inklingo collections include so many blades, backgrounds, and variations that to call them “Dresden Plate” seems misleading. I’m sorry. The shapes were so exciting, we could not stop!

Life has thrown our family a few curves this Christmas, and we are more than ready to say good bye to 2009. Oh, well, we cannot control life’s curves, but we can do a great job stitching curved seams with Inklingo.
