Inklingo Periwinkle Quilt

INKLINGO PERIWINKLE QUILT (IPQ)

We’re calling our IPQ a “reverse mystery.”

It’s a lesson for the new Periwinkle Octagon shape collection and it is perfect for Inklingo beginners.

The Inklingo Periwinkle Quilt Part 1
Free PDF (6 pages, 1.9 MB)

(If you downloaded before 3:30 PM Eastern Mon 8 April, please download the PDF again to get the final version. An early draft was uploaded by mistake.)

We start the IPQ lesson with our ABCs!

The IPQ lesson gives step-by-step instructions that everyone can complete together.

This is a “reverse mystery” because you know in advance what you are making, but the format is similar to the Case of the Secret Garden mystery quilt (COTSG).

INTRO PRICE

As usual, the new Periwinkle shapes are at a very special intro price—but for a limited time only!

Inklingo Hexagon Quilt Design Book Hexagon Quilt Design Book is a bonus.

BONUS

Octagons are a refreshing change from hexagons, but they are familiar too.

Designing and sewing with octagons is similar to designing and sewing with hexagons, so when you buy this new shape collection I will add the Hexagon Quilt Design Book (70 pages, PDF), a $20 value!

There are no instructions in the new shape collection because the lessons on the blog, the design book, and the free Inklingo shape collection will be all you need. This is a new approach, and we hope you like it.

If you know quilters who are looking for an introduction to Inklingo, please let them know about the lesson. They will thank you later.

As one quilter recently wrote “I love it when quilters discover and try Inklingo. I am sure they say to themselves, Where has this been all my quilting life? I know I did.”

This free lesson is not downloading; have tried it 3 times including logging off and then on again.

  3. Thank you! This is going to be fun!

  4. Linda says:

Hi Elaine, I am sorry for the frustration. MANY quilters have already downloaded, so I suspect it is a setting in your browser. If you are using Chrome, its default is to prevent you from downloading anything so you would have to change the options. This is a good link:
    http://pleasemakeanote.blogspot.ca/2010/07/how-to-force-google-chrome-to-download.html
If that doesn’t work, please write back with as much detail as you can. Which browser? (Internet Explorer? Safari? Firefox?) The more detail, the better.
Thank you for your patience. Hugs, Linda & Monkey

I am using Firefox and can’t download it either. Can you give us a heads up please?

  8. Linda says:

Hi Greta, I am sorry for the frustration. Hundreds of quilters have downloaded the PDFs without any problem, so I Googled “Can’t download PDF in Firefox” and found this:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pdf-files-are-blank-and-cant-be-downloaded-mac
I use Firefox too and it works for me, so I can’t reproduce the problem. If that solution works, please let me know. Thank you for your patience. Hugs, Linda & Monkey

  9. Donna Lucas says:

I, too had trouble downloading in Firefox. The link Linda provided above gave me the answer. Here’s what to do:
    Select Tools/Options/Applications
Find Portable Document Format (PDF) and select Acrobat Reader.
    Retstart Firefox.
Firefox was using a PDF.js reader which apparently doesn’t work with my Windows XP!
