Quilters on the Inklingo Yahoo group have been making some fantastic blocks à la Lucy Boston for their Patchwork of the Crosses quilts. We have put a small selection in a slide show and set them to music, which seemed appropriate, since Lucy Boston was famous for the wartime concerts she held at Hemingford Grey during the Second World War.
All of these blocks are lovely and some are spectacular. The artistic way these quilters have used fabric might give you some ideas about the fabrics in your stash. Enjoy!

Dear Linda,
Thank you and Monkey for the slide show. I just loved it! As soon as I am settled in my apartment and have my printer, I hope to be able to start the POTC. I also hope to become more active with the Inklingo group. Thank you so much for all the wonderful programs you have developed for all of us.
Sincerely,
Beverly
What a fabulous way to present those blocks! The music was the perfect touch!
Me thinketh I will have to make a block! I saw all of the blocks in the photo section and they were beautiful, now they are glorious!
Hugs to you all,
Frummie
Absolutely lovely..and the Mozart flute Concerto in C: Andantino is perfect with it. I have a recording with Irena Graefenauer playing the flute (1988) and wonder if it is the same CD as playing here. Regardless I have always loved this music as I played flute in high school and some as an adult. Now to get the POTC blocks started..
Words fail me… this is breathtaking!!!
Linda,
That was just wonderful…so much talent there. I loved how you added the music. I have not done these type blocks yet. Soon I will! Linda I just received my Quilting Diamond and Quilted Diamond 2 books… It is much more than I ever expected. I have already spent hours reading the two books, watching your wonderful DVD with everything to know about piecing blocks and just everything. How grand to watch it too, it was done so it was very interesting. That is just one wonderful DVD, and so surprise on how I thought I was doing my blocks right. I was not, and already have learned all the correct techniques and what a difference. I truly love how fast my orders come, and it is like Christmas morning for me, as I look forward to your personal notes, hand written by you. Your books, cd’s, and DVD are wonderful. I do recommend beginners to get this combo set. I am on a completely new way of doing my blocks. I am still spreading the word of this group to all of my fellow quilters and groups. Some are very interested to try it out. Thanks Linda, I am just so thrilled with all of what I received.
